How to make dried breadcrumbs

  • bread slices
  • olive oil for brushing
  • salt and milled pepper


Preheat the oven to 200 ºC. Brush bread slices liberally on one side with olive oil and arrange, oiled side down, on a baking sheet. Brush top of bread slices with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and milled pepper. Bake until golden brown. Cool. Place in a food processor or blender and process to make coarse breadcrumbs. Place in a screw-top jar, seal and chill in the refrigerator until required.
