  • 750
    ml
    flour
  • 5
    ml
    salt
  • 170
    g
    butter
  • 150
    ml
    milk
  • 150
    ml
    water
 

Method

 
In a bowl, sift together flour and salt.
Bring the butter, milk and water to the boil.
Pour over the flour mixture and mix well. Cool slightly and knead gently until the mixture is smooth and elastic.
Divide into four equal portions, pinch off a piece from each to create a pastry strip for the rim of each pie dish (16 x 12 cm each) and roll out the rest until slightly bigger than the pie dish.
