Ingredients (12)

30.00 ml vegetable oil
300.00 g rump steak — or tenderised steak
1.00 onion — medium, peeled and finely chopped
150.00 g green beans — finely sliced
2.00 ml orange — zest only
1.00 orange juice
10.00 ml soy sauce
30.00 ml instant gravy powder — roast meat
2.00 ml ginger — ground
2.00 garlic — large cloves, crushed
200.00 g lettuce — mixed salad greens
75.00 g almonds — cashew nuts or peanuts, chopped

Method:

1. Heat oil in frying pan over high heat and add remaining ingredients except nuts and salad greens. Stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes, adding a tablespoon of water if mixture becomes too thick.
2. Arrange salad greens on 4 plates or on large serving platter and spoon over hot beef mixture. Sprinkle with the nuts and serve immediately.
Serves 4 as a main course or 6 as a starter.
