    cake flour

    bicarbonate of soda

    ginger
  • 3
    ml
    cinnamon
  • 2
    ml
    ground cloves
  • 170
    g
    margarine
  • 250
    ml
    soft brown sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 60
    ml
    honey
  • a little cold water
  • 30
    ml
    granulated sugar
 

Method

 
1. Preheat oven to 175 ºC. Sift together dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, cream margarine and brown sugar, add egg and honey and beat until well combined. 2. Add sifted dry ingredients and form a soft dough. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Dip half of each into water and then into granulated sugar. Place sugar side up on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
