Honey prawns with fried rice

    stalks celery, sliced into rings

    fresh button mushrooms, sliced

    baby carrots, peeled and thinly sliced

    frozen prawns, cleaned

    honey
  • 15
    ml
    soy sauce

    ml
    sesame seeds
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 200 ºC (400 ºF). Mix all the ingredients for the fried rice. Spray an oven pan with non-stick spray and spread the rice evenly in the pan. Bake for 15 minutes, uncovered, stirring occasionally. Set aside. Heat oil in a large pan and sauté the onion, garlic and celery until glossy. Add the mushrooms and stir-fry until lightly browned. Add the remaining vegetables and stir-fry for another minute. Pour boiling water over the prawns and leave until defrosted. Drain and add to the sautéed vegetables. Stir-fry rapidly for about 1-2 minutes or until done. Blend the honey and soy sauce, pour over the prawn mixture and mix. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with the rice. Serves 6-8.
