Homemade cheese spread

  • 750
    ml
    milk
  • 1
    kg
    processed cheese, grated
  • 500
    g
    margarine
  • seasoning salt
  • 500
    ml
    finely grated biltong (optional)
 

Method

 
Heat 500-750 ml (2-3 c) milk, add the cheese and melt slowly over low heat while stirring continuously. Stir in the margarine and add seasoning salt to taste. Add the biltong, if desired, and mix. Spoon into clean, sterilised bottles while still hot. Makes 1,5 litres.
