    ml
    dry yeast
  • 10
    ml
    brown sugar
  • 750
    ml
    warm water
  • 1
    kg
    flour
  • 10
    ml
    salt
  • 15
    ml
    oil
 

Method

 
Dissolve yeast and brown sugar in 250 ml warm water.
Add 15 ml flour and leave in a warm place until foamy.
Sift remaining flour and salt together in a bowl.
Make a well in the centre and add the yeast mixture.
Knead dough thoroughly, adding remaining warm water.
Add oil and knead again.
Grease a large loaf pan.
Place the dough in a pan and leave to rise until it's twice its original size.
Bake in a preheated 180 °C oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Serve with butter.
