Home-made ginger beer

Ingredients

  • 10
    ml
    dried yeast
  • 625
    ml
    sugar
  • 125
    ml
    grated ginger
  • 5
    Litres
    warm water
 

Method

 
Mix yeast with a teaspoon of sugar in a cup. Fill with warm water and cover. Leave mixture until it starts to bubble. Place ginger, water and sugar in a large pot and leave to dissolve. Add yeast and mix well. Leave overnight. Strain and pour into clean bottles.
Store in the refrigerator. Makes 4.5 litres. Great with a tot of vodka
