Ingredients (9)

15.00 ml sesame oil
4.00 fresh chillies — sliced
1.00 fresh ginger — thinly sliced
200.00 g cashew nuts — raw
400.00 g tofu — cut into 2cm cubes
60.00 ml hoisin sauce
60.00 ml soy sauce — dark
60.00 ml tamarind — water
200.00 g asparagus — steamed

Method:

Heat the oil in a frying pan.
Add the chillies, ginger and nuts and cook for one minute.
Add the remaining ingredients and cook for two minutes or until the sauce reduces slightly.
Serve the tofu with jasmine rice cooked in coconut milk.
