Herbed haddock cakes

    smoked haddock, skinned
  • 20

    lemon juice
  • 15
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 15

    creamed horseradish
  • 40

    milk
  • 25
    ml
    snipped chives
  • 15
    ml
    chopped parsley
  • 350
    g
    cooked, mashed potatoes
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 50

    fresh white breadcrumbs
  • tartare sauce to serve
 

Method

Place the haddock, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and horseradish into a food processor and blend. Transfer to a bowl and stir in the milk, herbs, potato and seasoning. Shape into four fish cakes and coat with breadcrumbs.
Place on a greased baking sheet and grill under medium heat for 5-10 minutes on each side.
Serve with salad and tartare sauce.
