Ingredients (9)

30.00 ml oil
500.00 g beef — stewing, cubes
1.00 instant sauce — heart beef stew
350.00 ml water
8.00 patty pans — quartered
2.00 onion — medium, cut in 8
6.00 garlic — whole cloves
8.00 baby carrots — baby, peeled, trimmed
baby potatoes — boiled

Method:

Heat the oil in a large saucepan and brown the meat.
Mix the instant mix with the water until smooth, then add to the meat. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat, cover and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.
Add the vegetables and continue to simmer for 15 minutes, or until meat is tender. Keep warm until ready to serve.
Serve with boiled baby potatoes tossed in butter and a green salad.
