    stick cinnamon
  • 250
    ml
    water
  • 4
    medium-sized guavas, cut into smaller pieces
  • 50
    ml
    honey
  • 15
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 200
    ml
    orange juice
  • 200
    ml
    milk (optional)
 

Method

 
Place the cinnamon in the water and bring to the boil. Add the guava pieces and boil for about 10 minutes or until soft. (Mash with a fork and strain through a sieve if you prefer a smooth drink.) Add the honey and up to 15 ml lemon juice (to taste) and blend well. Cool. Add the orange juice and blend well. Add the milk and mix. Alternatively, add only the orange juice or milk. Chill. Place a slice of guava, seeds removed, in the glass before pouring in the health drink. Makes about 1 litre.
