Hamburgers with sauce

Ingredients

  • HAMBURGER PATTIES
  • 750
    g
    lean mince
  • 1
    large onion, finely chopped
  • 2
    slices white bread
  • 100
    ml
    milk
  • 50
    ml
    cake flour
  • 3
    ml
    nutmeg
  • 5
    ml
    ground coriander
  • 50
    ml
    chutney
  • 1
    ml
    ground cloves
  • 15
    ml
    prepared mustard
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
 

Method

 
Lightly mix all the ingredients for the hamburger patties together. Shape into flat patties and brush with oil on both sides. Grill in a heated cast-iron pan until brown on the outside and just done but still juicy on the inside. Serve with a sauce of your choice. Makes about 8 large or 16 small hamburger patties.
