Hake with vegetables

  • 750

    whole hake
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 500
    g
    carrots, scraped and sliced
  • 500
    g
    leeks, rinsed and sliced
  • 1
    lemon, sliced
  • butter
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Wipe the fish clean and season well with salt and pepper. Place in a greased ovenproof dish. Surround with the sliced carrots and leeks, and top with half the lemon slices. Dot with butter and bake for about 35 minutes or until the fish is done. Serve with the remaining lemon slices. Serves 3-4.
