Hake nuggets with potato chips

A family favourite – ready to eat in half an hour!

Ingredients

 
  • 600
    g
    hake fillets, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2
    large eggs
  • sunflower oil, to shallow fry
  • potato chips and long-stem broccoli, to serve
  • lemon slices, to serve

Method

 
Dry any excess water from the fish with paper towels.

Beat the eggs well. Doing only a few pieces at a time, coat the fish in flour. Dip each piece of fish into the egg and turn to coat all over. Remove with a fork and place into medium-hot oil to fry. Cook until browned, turning the fish over halfway through.

Remove from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Repeat until all the fish is cooked. Serve with potato chips, long-stem broccoli and lemon slices.
