Guavas with strawberries

    ripe guavas

    ml
    water
  • 1
    cinnamon stick
  • 125
    ml
    sugar
  • 250
    g
    strawberries
  • 45
    ml
    sugar
  • 3
    oranges, juice
  • 2
    granadillas, pulp
 

Method

 
Peel guavas and remove pips. Bring water, cinnamon stick and sugar to boil. Add guava pips and flesh and cook fairly briskly, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove, cool and strain. Refrigerate. Slice strawberries, rinse and layer in a bowl with guavas and sugar. Cover with orange juice and granadilla and chill thoroughly. TOTAL KILOJOULE COUNT: 4 355 kJ (1 040 Cal). A portion: 1 090 kJ (260 Cal).
