Guava rounds

  • 250
    g
    cottage cheese
  • 60
    ml
    mayonnaise
  • 40
    g
    Cheddar cheese, finely grated
  • 60
    ml
    walnuts, finely chopped
  • salt
  • 1
    ml
    paprika
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  • 4
    unblemished, firm guavas
  • walnut halves
 

Method

 
Blend the cottage cheese, mayonnaise, Cheddar cheese and chopped walnuts together in a mixing bowl. Season to taste with salt, paprika and cayenne pepper. Cut guavas into 5 mm thick slices. Place the slices on a serving platter and top with a little of the cottage cheese mixture. Decorate each round with a walnut half. Makes about 16-20 guava rounds. Serve as a starter or snack.
