Grilled tuna salad

    fresh tuna steaks

    olive oil
  • 15
    ml
    lemon juice
  • salt and milled pepper
  • a selection of salad leaves
  • DRESSING
  • 125
    ml
    olive oil
  • 30
    ml
    soy sauce
  • 60
    ml
    white wine vinegar
  • 15
    ml
    honey
  • 5
    ml
    sesame or walnut oil
  • milled black pepper to taste
  • 5
    ml
    mustard powder
  • 15
    g
    fresh coriander, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1
    bunch spring onions, finely chopped
 

Method

 
Wipe fish with a damp cloth. Brush liberally with olive oil and lemon juice and season. Grill tuna, turning once or twice until cooked and lightly browned, 8 to 10 minutes (depending on thickness). DRESSING: Mix all ingredients well. Wash salad leaves, shake dry and arrange on individual plates. Cut tuna into bite-sized chunks and arrange on salad while still warm, but not hot. Pour dressing over and serve.
