Grilled chipolatas with baby tomatoes on skewers

    g
    chipolatas
  • 60
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 10
    ml
    French mustard
  • 5
    ml
    sugar
  • salt and milled black pepper to taste
  • 12
    baby tomatoes
  • bay leaves
 

Method

 
Sprinkle chipolatas with lemon juice. Mix mustard, sugar, salt and pepper. Brush each tomato with mustard mixture. Thread sausages, tomatoes and bay leaves alternately onto 6 skewers. Place, three racks down, under a preheated grill and grill for 8 to 12 minutes. Move up to second rack and grill for a further 5 minutes, turning once, to crisp sausages and brown tomatoes slightly. Serve immediately.
