Ingredients (14)

60.00 ml oil — cooking
0.00 0 onion — large, chopped
0.00 0 peppercorns
0.00 0 allspice — whole
0.00 0 tomatoes — peeled, grated
0.00 0 water
5.00 ml garlic and ginger paste
2.50 ml salt
15.00 ml white sugar
15.00 ml worchester sauce
2.50 ml cumin — ground
2.50 ml masala — red leaf
1.00 ml chilli powder
0.00 0 green beans — tinned

Method:

(Serve with mince kebabs,
sweet yellow rice or
fried potato wedges.)

To a medium-sized pot on medium to high heat, add the cooking oil and heat.
To this, add the onion, peppercorns and allspice. Braise till the onion is golden brown.
Add the grated tomato along with the water, garlic and ginger paste, salt and sugar.
Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. Add the Worcestershire sauce, ground jeera,
red leaf masala and chilli powder. Simmer for 5 minutes more on medium to low heat.
Lastly, add the green beans and simmer on low heat for 10?15 minutes till done.
Remove from heat and serve as described above.
