Ingredients (12)

30.00 ml fresh chillies — 573
1.00 chicken
8.00 chicken — pieces
500.00 g green beans
2.00 onions — roughly chopped
4.00 garlic — cloves, sliced
5.00 ml mixed spice — ground
5.00 ml coriander
1.00 tomato paste — small tin
5.00 ml sugar
2.00 tomatoes — tinned and chopped
0.00 lemon — juice only

Method:

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan and brown the chicken pieces.
Remove the chicken and sauté the beans, onion and garlic.
Add the chicken and the remaining ingredients, and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and cover.
Simmer over a low heat for 1½ to two hours or until the chicken is very tender. Serve with rice.
