Ingredients

  • 250
    g
    butter
  • 70
    ml
    castor sugar
  • 500
    ml
    cake flour
  • 2
    ml
    salt
  • 10
    ml
    almond essence
  • 100
    g
    ground almonds
 

Method

+/- 30 min
 
Preheat the oven to 160 ºC. Mix the ingredients to form a smooth dough. Form walnut-sized balls and arrange on a baking sheet. Chill for 30 minutes. Bake for half an hour until just done and still light in colour. Roll in sifted castor sugar while hot and cool on a wire rack. Enjoy with coffee.
