Grape ice cream with crystallised grapes

  • 500
    ml
    cream
  • 250
    ml
    unsweetened grape juice (liquidise black grapes)
  • 75
    ml
    castor sugar
  • lemon juice to taste
  • CRYSTALLISED GRAPES
  • 125
    ml
    water
  • 250
    ml
    sugar
  • bunch of black grapes
  • granulated sugar for sprinkling
 

Method

 
Stir cream, grape juice and sugar until sugar dissolves. Add lemon juice to taste, pour into a freezer tray and freeze overnight. CRYSTALLISED GRAPES: Heat water and sugar to make a syrup. Place whole black grapes in syrup, turn to coat completely, then allow excess to drain off. Sprinkle grapes immediately with sugar. Place on a platter and set aside until syrup hardens. Serve ice cream with crystallised grapes.
