Grape and walnut jam

    grapes, halved and seeded
  • 750
    g
    white sugar
  • 25
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 200
    g
    walnuts, chopped
 

Method

 
In a large bowl, layer grapes, sugar and lemon juice. Leave overnight. In a large saucepan, heat mixture over low heat until sugar has melted and bring to the boil. Boil over moderate heat until jam is syrupy thick, for about 1 hour. Stir in walnuts and pour into sterilised jars. Seal immediately. Makes 1 kg jam.
