Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Sift together the flour and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg, milk and oil together.
With a palate knife, mix with milk mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
On a floured surface, turn the dough out and pres slightly until about 2cm thick.
With a cookie cutter/glass, cut 12 circles out of the dough and place on a greased baking tray.
Brush with a bit of extra milk and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
Serve warm with cream & jam/ jam & cheese.
