Ingredients (11)

375.00 g butter — cubed
250.00 ml castor sugar
5.00 ml vanilla — essence
875.00 ml flour — sifted
1.00 ml salt
castor sugar
edible decorative balls — gold
FROSTED ROSE PETALS
24.00 rose petals
eggs — whites only
castor sugar
edible gold dust

Method:

Preheat oven to 180 ºC.
Cream the butter and castor sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla essence. Add the flour and salt, mix well.
Chill for 30 minutes.
Roll the dough out onto a floured board. Cut out hearts with a cookie cutter.
Sprinkle with castor sugar and bake for 15 minutes or until light golden.
Cool on a cake rack.
Decorate with frosted rose petals and edible gold balls.
FROSTED ROSE PETALS:
Dip petals into egg white and then into castor sugar. Dust with gold dust.
