Gnocchi with chorizo and peas

    kg
    gnocci
  • 1 chorizo sausage, halved and sliced
  • 1
    tsp
    crushed garlic
  • 2
    cup
    frozen peas
  • 250
    ml
    cream
  • 250
    ml
    milk mixed with 1tbsn cornflour
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Squeeze of Lemon Juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste
 

Method

In a large saucepan, fry the Chorizo until crispy (no need for extra oil). Add the Garlic and fry for another minute. Add the Frozen Peas and sitr to coat with the oil from the Chorizo. Add the cream, milk mix, paprika and Lemon and allow to thicken. Check the seasoning and turn down the heat.

Cook the Gnocci in boiling water, and when they start floating to the top, scoop out with a slotted spoon and add to the sauce. Stir the gnocci in the sauce and allow it to absorb the sauce for 5 minutes. Serve hot with a scattering of fresh parsley.
