Gekochte birnen mit nidel (Cooked pears with cream sauce)

    butter
  • 5
    ml
    cinnamon
  • SAUCE
  • 60
    g
    butter
  • 40
    g
    sugar
  • 250
    ml
    cream
 

Method

20 min
 
Peel the pears, remove the cores and cut in half. Melt the butter. Sprinkle the cinnamon on the pears and sauté until firm but tender. Remove and set aside. SAUCE: Melt the butter and add sugar. Cook over a low heat until the sugar becomes a light caramel colour. Stir in the cream and reheat. Pour sauce over the cooked pears and serve warm.
