Garlic butter mealies in foil

  • 4
    mealies, cut into rounds
  • 100
    ml
    butter or margarine
  • 3
    cloves of garlic, peeled and bruised
  • 20
    ml
    Marmite
  • 6
    rashers bacon, shredded and fried
  • 10
    ml
    fresh origanum
 

Method

 
1. Place the mealie rings on a piece of heavy aluminium foil. Mix butter, garlic, Marmite, bacon and origanum and divide among the mealies. 2. Wrap securely and braai over coals for 20 to 30 minutes, until the mealies are tender.
