    Marie biscuits, broken into pieces

    icing sugar, sifted

    Nestlé condensed milk

    melted margarine
 

Method

 
Spray a 22 x 33 cm bowl with non-stick spray. Mix the butter, sugar, condensed milk, golden syrup and cocoa in a saucepan and heat slowly until melted. Do not bring to the boil. Add the Marie biscuits and mix well. Spoon into the prepared bowl, pressing the mixture down firmly. Store in the fridge until firm. Mix all the ingredients for the topping, stirring with a wire beater until smooth. Spread over the cookie mixture and cut into squares when set. Store in an airtight container in the fridge. Makes 36 cookies.
