Ingredients (13)

450.00 g green apples — peeled, cubed
80.00 ml orange juice — fresh
100.00 g prunes — pitted, chopped
125.00 g mixed dried fruit — chopped
150.00 g mixed nuts — chopped
80.00 g flour — self-raising
75.00 g oats — rolled
25.00 g desiccated coconut
20.00 g poppy seeds
20.00 g sunflower oil
20.00 g sesame seeds
30.00 ml oil
30.00 ml jam — smooth, apricot

Method:

Heat apples and orange juice in a saucepan. Cover and allow to simmer gently for 10 minutes.
Mix to make a smooth purée. Remove from the heat and add all remaining ingredients, except for the apricot jam. Mix well to combine.
Press into a greased 36 x 26 cm baking tray.
Bake in preheated oven (180 °C) for 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and brush with the apricot jam to glaze. Cut into bars and allow to cool.
Store in an airtight container.
