    bicarbonate of soda

    mixed spice

    large orange, peeled and chopped

    sunflower seeds

    brazil nuts, chopped
  • 100
    ml
    dried nectarines, chopped

    dates, chopped

    butter
  • 210
    g
    castor sugar

    large eggs
  • 175
    ml
    Bulgarian yoghurt
  • 80
    ml
    milk
 

Method

Mix the dry ingredients and fruit together in a large bowl. Beat the butter and sugar until light. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well to combine. Add the dry ingredients alternately with the yoghurt and milk, to the butter mixture. Sir until well combined, then spoon into a greased loaf tin. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Makes: 1 loaf cake Preparation time: 20 minutes Baking time: 1 hour Oven temperature: 180 ºC
