Fruit punch with ale

  • 500
    ml
    water
  • 2
    sticks cinnamon
  • 10
    cloves
  • 375
    ml
    sugar
  • 125
    ml
    rooibos tea
  • 250
    ml
    orange juice or fruit cocktail
  • 250
    ml
    grape juice
  • 250
    ml
    lemon juice
  • 1
    Litres
    lemon ale
  • fruit in season, diced
 

Method

 
Boil 250 ml of the water with cinnamon and cloves. Pour remaining water into a saucepan and add sugar. Boil for 5 minutes. Mix spiced water with sugar syrup. Add tea, all fruit juices and the ale. Add mixed fruits and refrigerate until needed. Serve in cocktail glasses. Makes about 2 litres.
