Fried bananas with bacon

    ripe bananas
  • 30
    ml
    sunflower oil
  • 350
    g
    rindless streaky bacon, roughly chopped
  • salt and pepper
 

Method

20 minutes
 
1. Peel the bananas and cut into small chunks. 2. Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the bacon until brown and starting to crisp. Add the chopped bananas and cook for 10 minutes or until the bananas are soft, stirring continuously to prevent the bananas from sticking. Season to taste. 3. Serve as a side dish or as a vegetable with a main dish.
