Fresh salad with walnut dressing

  • selection of fresh lettuce leaves, rinsed and dried
  • 6
    cucumber slices
  • 6
    tomato wedges
  • 3
    carrot curls
  • 4
    onion rings
  • 2
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 1
    stick celery, sliced
  • 1
    green pepper, cut into strips
  • avocado, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3
    black olives
  • 15
    ml
    chopped chives
  • DRESSING
  • 30
    ml
    oil
  • 10
    ml
    finely chopped onion
  • 30
    ml
    walnuts, finely chopped
  • 10
    ml
    brown vinegar
  • salt
  • black pepper
 

Method

 
Arrange all the salad ingredients on a small plate. Heat the oil and sauté the onion until soft. Add the walnuts and fry gently. Do not overfry or the walnuts will become bitter. Allow to cool. Add vinegar and season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with the salad.
