Fresh fig and sugared almond salad

Ingredients (7)

100 g almonds — flaked
50 g butter
1 Tbs castor sugar
1 figs
1 salad greens
2 Tbs honey
2 = Tbs vinegar — balsamic

Method:

Place the butter, almonds and castor sugar in a pan on a low heat.
Stir often to coat the almonds and make sure they brown evenly.
When they have turned a golden brown take them off the heat and let them cool.
Place leaves on a platter and cut the figs into 8ths or 10ths depending on their size.
Scatter the figs all over the leaves.
Scatter the almonds all over the top of the salad.
Mix the balsamic vinegar and the honey to make the dressing and pour over just before serving.
