    g
    prunes
  • 250
    g
    dried apricots
  • 250
    g
    dried apple rings
  • 500
    ml
    weak rooibos tea
  • 200
    ml
    brandy
  • few strips orange peel
  • 2
    pieces stick cinnamon
  • 2
    whole cloves
  • 40
    g
    sugar
 

Method

 
Arrange the fruit in a sterilised one litre jar. Blend the remaining ingredients in a saucepan. Heat while stirring continuously until all the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat when the mixture comes to the boil and cool slightly. Pour over the fruit. Seal the jar and leave for about six weeks before use. Serve the fruit with ice cream. Makes 1 litre of fruit.
