    pilchards in salt water
  • 25
    ml
    oil
  • 110
    g
    oatmeal
  • 2
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1
    large onion, chopped
  • 1
    packet brown onion soup mix
  • 10
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce
 

Method

 
1. Mix together all the ingredients except half of the Worcestershire sauce. 2. Put the mixture into a greased 500 ml loaf tin and pour the remaining Worcestershire sauce over. 3. Bake in preheated 180 ºC oven for about 1 hour. 4. Serve hot with a sour cream sauce and vegetables or cold with mayonnaise, garnished with chopped chives, and accompanied by a salad. Serves 4-6.
