400.00 g fish — firm white fillets
0.00 0 lemon
185.00 ml flour — self-raising
60.00 ml cornflour — maizena
185.00 ml water
0.00 0 salt, ground black pepper and paprika to taste — sep enteries
0.00 0 sunflower oil

Method:

Mix all the ingredients except the fish vand set
aside for about 30 minutes.
Flavour the fish strips with fresh
lemon juice.
Heat the oil in a deep pan. Test the
heat of the oil with a cube of bread. If
the cube rises to the surface quickly
and turns golden-brown, the oil is at the
right temperature.
Dip the fish strips in the batter and let
any excess batter drip off before you fry
it until golden brown.
Serve hot with potato chips and
lemon wedges.
