Finger-lickin' chicken

    chicken breast fillets, cut into strips
  • salt and pepper
  • oil
  • 2
    onions, sliced
  • 1
    green pepper, cut into strips
  • 100
    ml
    water
  • 30
    ml
    sugar
  • 60
    ml
    chutney
  • 30
    ml
    Worcestershire sauce or oyster sauce
  • 50
    ml
    tomato sauce
  • 30
    ml
    tomato paste
 

Method

 
Season the chicken strips with salt and pepper and brown in the heated oil. Set aside and keep warm. Sauté the onion and green pepper in oil until soft. Add the remaining ingredients, season to taste and bring to the boil. Stir continuously. Reduce the heat and simmer until a thick sauce is formed. Pour over the chicken and serve with rice. Serves 4-6.
