    ml
    bran flakes
  • 250
    g
    fruitcake mix
  • 250
    ml
    milk
  • 200
    g
    sugar
  • 210
    g
    self-raising flour
  • pinch salt
 

Method

Preheat the oven to 190 ºC (375 ºF). Grease a small 23 x 11 x 7 cm loaf tin. Mix the bran flakes, fruitcake mix and milk together and leave until the bran flakes are soft. Meanwhile mix the sugar, self-raising flour and salt together. Add the bran flakes mixture and mix well. Add a little more milk if the mixture is too stiff. Turn into the prepared tin and bake for about 40 minutes or until done. Serve with butter. Makes a small loaf.
