Ingredients (12)

125.00 g butter
250.00 ml castor sugar
4.00 eggs — extra-large, seperated
5.00 ml vanilla — essence
500.00 ml flour — cake
10.00 ml Baking powder
1.00 ml salt
125.00 ml cake mix
125.00 ml milk
80.00 ml water
5.00 ml Cream of tartar
250.00 ml whole glace cherries — green and red

Method:

1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C. Grease patty or cup cake pans
and line with paper cups.

2. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and beat well until
light and fluffy. Add vanilla essence.

3. Sift dry ingredients and add cake mix. Add this, alternately
with the milk and water, to creamed mixture.

4. Whisk egg whites with cream-of-tartar until stiff. Using a
large metal spoon, fold egg whites into flour mixture.

5. Pour batter into paper patty cups and decorate with
cherries. Bake for 20-30 minutes.
