Ingredients (10)

8.00 chicken — pieces
salt and freshly ground black pepper
60.00 g flour — cake
5.00 ml curry powder
1.00 onion — finely chopped
30.00 ml oil
125.00 ml tomato sauce
125.00 ml chutney
30.00 ml Worcestershire sauce
125.00 ml sultanas — currants

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Spray a large ovenproof dish with non-stick spray. Season the chicken pieces well with salt and pepper. Combine the cake flour with the curry powder and roll each chicken piece in the mixture. Fry in heated oil until brown. Arrange in the prepared dish.
Sauté the onion in the oil until soft. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour over the chicken pieces, cover with aluminium foil and bake for one to one and a half hours or until tender and done. Remove the aluminium foil and bake for another 10 minutes or until the chicken pieces are nicely browned. Serve with rice and a salad.
