Festive casserole

    g
    frozen fresh broccoli
  • 500
    ml
    cooked turkey or chicken, cut into pieces
  • 410
    g
    cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
  • 250
    ml
    milk
  • 50
    g
    Cheddar cheese, grated
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 160 ºC (325 ºF). Grease a one litre casserole with margarine. Defrost the frozen broccoli (or use one bunch fresh broccoli) before preparing the dish. If you are using fresh broccoli, it must first be boiled in a little salted water until tender but not mushy. Place the broccoli in the casserole and sprinkle the chopped turkey or chicken over it. Mix the can of soup with the milk and pour over the contents of the casserole. Sprinkle with cheese. Place the casserole uncovered, in the oven. Bake about 25 minutes or until the sauce begins to bubble. Serves 4.
