Egyptian grilled prawns

  • 12
    large prawns
  • 15
    ml
    lime juice
  • 10
    ml
    salt
  • 4
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 60
    ml
    olive oil
 

Method

Slit the back of each prawn and de-vein.
Mix lime juice, salt, garlic and olive oil together.
Press the mixture into the cut of each prawn and close. Sprinkle any remaining paste over prawns and marinate for at least 1 hour.
Grill prawns for 20 minutes, turning and basting occasionally. Serve with rice.
