  • 2
    yolks of free range eggs
  • 250
    ml
    milk
  • 15
    ml
    sugar
  • 5
    ml
    vanilla extract
 

Method

 
Beat the egg yolks lightly.
Half-fill the bottom of a double boiler, then heat the milk in the top half until almost boiling.
Pour milk onto yolks, stir, and return mixture to double boiler.
Stir until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a wooden spoon.
Remove from the heat. Stir in the sugar and vanilla extract.
Serve hot or cold with fresh berries.
