Easy pizza

  • Pizza base
  • 5
    ml
    active dry yeast (or instant yeast)
  • a pinch sugar
  • 170
    ml
    warm water
  • 500
    ml
    flour
  • 5
    ml
    salt
  • 15
    ml
    olive oil
  • Topping
  • 1.50
    kg
    butternut, peeled and chopped
  • chilli oil, to drizzle
  • 300
    g
    goat's cheese, sliced
  • 200
    g
    baby rosa tomatoes
  • 12
    cubes chorizo sausage
  • 30
    ml
    fresh rosemary
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 220°C.
Place the butternut on a baking tray, drizzle with chilli oil and bake for about 30 minutes or until soft and golden.
While the butternut is in the oven, prepare the yeast dough.
Place the active yeast, sugar and water in a bowl.
Set aside in a warm place until bubbles form (about 15 minutes).
Note:
If you're using instant yeast, mix all the dry ingredients together, including the yeast, then add the liquid.
Add the flour, salt and oil.
Mix to form a smooth dough and knead for 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
Place in a clean oiled bowl, cover and allow to stand in a warm place for 20 minutes or until double in size.
Heat two baking trays in the oven.
Divide the dough into four.
Roll out to about 3 mm thick on a sheet of non-stick baking paper dusted with semolina.
Add topping ingredients.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
