Dried prunes in red wine

  • 250
    g
    pitted prunes
  • 375
    ml
    dry red wine
  • 60
    ml
    sugar
  • 1
    lemon, zest
  • 6
    cloves
  • 3
    sticks cinnamon
  • 3
    cardamom seeds
 

Method

 
Heat prunes, red wine, sugar, zest and spices just to boiling point.
Put the lid on and allow to cool.
Chill in the fridge overnight and serve cold.
