Double cheese and walnut pâté

    ml
    creamed cottage cheese
  • 250
    g
    herbed feta cheese
  • 10
    ml
    lemon zest
  • 150
    g
    gruyére cheese, grated
  • 2
    spring onions, chopped
  • 3
    ml
    paprika
  • 100
    g
    walnuts, coarsely chopped
 

Method

1. Place half the cottage cheese in a food processor with the feta cheese, and blend until smooth. Season to taste. Remove from the food processor, then blend the remaining cottage cheese with the Gruyére, the spring onions and the paprika. Season to taste.

2. Spoon a layer of one of the mixtures into a transparent container. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts and top with a layer of the other mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining nuts and refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve on freshly sliced bread or savoury biscuits.
