    peach slices
  • SAUCE

    sugar
  • 410
    g
    Nestlé Ideal Evaporated Milk
  • 2
    ml
    almond essence
  • 15
    ml
    butter
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Grease a deep pie dish. Sift the flour and seasonings together, add the sugar and eggs and mix. Reserve a few peach slices and chop the rest. Add the chopped peaches and peach syrup to the batter. Mix well and spoon into the prepared pie dish. Decorate with the remaining peach slices. Bake for bout 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. Meanwhile, heat the sauce ingredients and simmer until the sugar has dissolved. Pour the sauce over the pie as soon as it is removed from the oven. Serve with cream or custard. Makes a medium-sized tart.
